Grumble, Grumble...

A few festive annoyances for today:

* A commercial for KY Jelly Intense during an 8 a.m. screening of "Elf"?? Really, TV people? Really? Seems to me that someone miscalculated their target audience. I could not find the remote control fast enough, much too late for Finn not to ask, "Wait, what is that stuff for? What are those people doing? What, like, do they need it for if they are just going to bed?"

* The baby would like an Elmo doll. Seemed easy enough -- Elmo is ubiquitous. That little *&@#^% is everywhere. Except if you want one, you have to get a hard one (not a soft one) that needs batteries and shouts falsetto crap at you all day long, for the low, low price of $39.99. No. Won't do it. Sorry, Ian, no "MoMo" for you.

* No holiday bonus this year. Bah-humbug. {First-world problem.}
